Creating a Shipper's Letter of Instruction

A Shipper's Letter of Instruction (SLI) is often provided by the exporter to his or her freight forwarder with details about the export shipment. If you are also relying on your freight forwarder or other agent to file your electronic export information (EEI) through the Automated Export System (AES), the SLI in NCBFAA format includes all the details they need to make this filing.
