Shipping Solutions export software is the fast, easy and affordable way to complete and your export forms. This eight-minute video shows how easy it is to use Shipping Solutions to create and print more than two dozen export forms, file through AES, and stay compliant with export regulations.
If you are exporting goods from the United States valued at more than $2,500 per Schedule B code, you or your agent generally needs to file your export information electronically through the Automated Export System (AES). While this process can seem intimidating at first, Shipping Solutions software makes it easy to file through AES while also completing more than two dozen standard export forms. This video provides an overview of the Data Exchange Manager (DXM), which allows you to import orders from your company’s accounting, order entry or ERP system into Shipping Solutions Professional in order to produce your export documents, file your electronic export information, and fulfill your export compliance requirements. The Shipping Solutions Consolidation Utility allows you to combine multiple shipping records stored in the Shipping Solutions Professional software into a single set of export documents. This Utility is often used in conjunction with the Data Exchange Manager, which is used to import orders from your accounting, order-entry or ERP system, because the information is imported as individual orders rather than as a single shipment. The Shipping Solutions software allows you to make modest changes to the appearance and functionality of certain export forms generated in the software. This three-and-a-half minute video shows you how to change print options; change form and field labels; modify date, price and Schedule B formats; and hide certain data fields depending on your company's needs and preferences.
Shipping Solutions allows you to print your export forms with your company logo and/or an electronic version of a signature included on select export documents. Regardless of whether you are using the single- or multi-user version of Shipping Solutions, you may have different people using the software to create your export paperwork, or you may have one person creating paperwork for different locations or different divisions of the company. The Shipping Solutions software allows you to create different user profiles and store a different company logo, a different signature, and different default settings for each profile. The multi-user version of the Shipping Solutions software allows you to create user groups and then set up user accounts for each of your users. This allows you to limit access to different parts of the software to different groups of users. You may, for instance, give some users the ability to create new shipment records, add and change information to that record, and then print out the export forms, file through the Automated Export System (AES), and run export compliance screenings. You may have other users who only need to be able to print out the export documents. This video shows you how to create those different user groups and then assign specific Shipping Solutions users to those groups.
The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) replaced NAFTA in 2020 and requires companies that want to take advantage of reduced duties under the agreement to provide some type of certification of origin in written or electronic form. While there is no specific certification form, there are certain data elements that must be provided in order to qualify. A Shipper's Letter of Instruction (SLI) is often provided by the exporter to his or her freight forwarder with details about the export shipment. If you are also relying on your freight forwarder or other agent to file your electronic export information (EEI) through the Automated Export System (AES), the SLI in NCBFAA format includes all the details they need to make this filing.
